creDBle is a metabolomics resource for curated reference data sets that have been fully annotated. Currently, the focus is E. coli analyzed with various extraction and chromatographic methods. Our objective is to provide lists of all unique metabolites detected with a method, along with the accurate mass, retention time, and MS/MS fragmentation data of each metabolite. Researchers can use this information to: (i) identity metabolites in their own experiments, (ii) design future experiments based on creDBle lists of metabolites detected with different methods, or (iii) use creDBle results to align data from different labs. Notably, by applying our credentialing and mz.unity technologies, creDBle annotates the thousands of adducts, artifacts, and contaminants that lead to feature inflation while identifying the bona fide metabolites.
